Monel is series of stainless metal alloys, primarily composed of nickel and copper, with some iron and other trace elements. It is resistant to corrosion and acids and is typically much more expensive than stainless steel. Pistons made of Monel steel are often used in professional trumpets because they retain precision fit and smooth action over many years.

Every trumpet is play tested at Cecilio's factory and re-inspected at their Los Angeles distribution center to ensure that their high quality standards are met.
